Yes. Non-residents can get an EIN (US tax ID) without an SSN or ITIN. We apply for you with IRS Form SS-4 as part of every US LLC package, and the IRS issues the EIN on its own timeline.

It depends on your plans. Many founders who sell online choose Wyoming or New Mexico for low running costs and privacy. Founders planning to raise venture capital often choose Delaware. If you'll have an office or staff in a state, you'll usually need to register there.

Once your LLC has its EIN, you can apply for a US business bank account. Founders often apply to providers such as Mercury, Wise and Relay, which we name only as examples. Guidance on these applications is included with every package, and the provider decides whether to approve you.

A US Stripe or PayPal Business account needs a US company and an EIN. Stripe account setup is included free with every LLC we form. PayPal, Shopify Payments and Airwallex setup are $120 each, and PayPal is $50 when you also take our ITIN service.

How to get a US Stripe account from India

Yes. You can also sell on Amazon.com with an Indian business through Amazon Global Selling, so a US LLC is optional. Many sellers choose one to sell as a US company and receive payouts in a US bank account.

Most states require an annual report or fee, and registered agent service renews after year one. A foreign-owned single-member LLC generally also files IRS Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120 every year, even with no US income.
